Default DC5 master brake cylinder

Does anybody know if a DC5 master brake cylinder (the whole component) fit into a 93 hatch?

how much are the brake cylinders?

the master brake cylinder on my hatch is going bad. And i really want to change it before it dies on me...

I dunno, if your car (or the donor) has ABS it can complicate things. I found a good deal on a new Cardone MC for my car (has ABS) on autopartsgiant.com, by far the cheapest price I found. ABS MCs tend to be considerably more.

Only downside is that I ordered it almost a month ago, and they don't estimate delivery until later this week.

my hatch is a 93 DX... i didn't know ABS had to do with the master brake cylinder til now that you mentioned it. I just saw this article on HondaTunning and there's a white hatch featured in it. the guy changed the MC to a DC5 but I don't know if he had to do any custom work on it.

I believe some are interchangeable, never done it myself, but if you search around I think you'll find which ones will work work and fit. Or someone more knowledgeable might reply.
I'd assume that if the DC5 MC is non-ABS, that there's a good chance it'll work with your car.

the best upgrade that you can do is use a S2000 master and booster. That is what i have installed in my 92 VX. You still get the 1 inch master, and the is only a little bit of bending need to get it to fit. The lines are the same size of the civic ones too, if you need pics let my know i will post some.

^ this line you have to bend this line. On the civics they bend up while the S2000 is level. As soon as i did this i noticed a lot better braking, alot more linear. I'm am running 92 Si brakes front and rear.

The front line has to be bent. it looks like this for a civic / . The S2000 looks like this _, just use your thumbs and gently bend it the way it needs to go. If you dont bend it, it wont go in. Its real simple.
