Default 98 civic keyless entry problem

replaced the batteries on the remotes and now the light stays on all the time?????????? tried to reprogram and the radio button cycles the locks but the remotes wont work????????? wont reprogram??? what am i missing??? what am i doing wrong?? locks work with the door switch, locks cycle when u hold the factory radio button in. but cant get remotes to work?????

That happened with my 99. It was just a matter of taking the remote apart and getting it un-stuck from the on position.

Tried That I Have Even Tried 5 Other Different Remotes

You replaced the battery on 5 remotes and now they're all stuck in the on position?

no, just the original 2. the other 3 remotes just wont work either, and they light up properly when the button is pressed

where did you get the new remotes?
parts # from them?
using the correct programming process?
trying to configure all 5 or just 1 at a time?

anything else done to the stereo recently?
factory alarm as well as keyless entry?

you have to have the same FCC ID# for other remotes to work
