Thoughts on Oil Catch for Civic 98 Ex?
I am getting tired of the butterfly sticking every so often that I have to clean out all the oil from the recirculation every so often which is what I believe it to be. Therefore I would like some thoughts on this if it's a simple inexpencive solution so I won't need to clean out the butterfly anymore.
I'm just tired of the damn gas pedal sticking because of this.
Thanks

I'm assuming you're engine is using oil, reducing that would mean less residue in the combustion chamber, so less potential for it to make it's way into the manifold and to the TB. Otherwise, I'd try something like sea foam deep creep (I'm sure there are others, only one that comes to mind) which is perfectly safe being spraying into the intake (won't harm sensors, etc.) but it lubricates, instead of just cleaning like carb cleaner.
If it was just coming from the PCV valve (but maybe it is in your case) you wouldn't expect it to be a common issue, you should be able to go long intervals without cleaning. Unless you are overfilling the crankcase, maybe running real hot, or something like that:shrug:
I'd make sure your PCV valve isn't stuck open now that I think of it, quick and easy check just in case.
