H&R Sport Springs are a really dark Blue metallic finish actually.
At least that's what mine were. I wouldn't buy used parts unless it's from someone I trust...

i got h/r sports and mine were dark gray silverish color. they did say h/r on them with the part numbers. i guess these posts show that they do come in different colors, but they should have h/r printed on them.

H&R offer many different sets of springs for Civic applications.

OE Sport is slightly lower than your OEM springs, Lowers: Avg Low .75"F .75"R. Color is dark grey-ish (varies).

The H&R Sport Lowers: Avg Low 1.8"F 1.6"R. Color is dark blue (again, color varies).

The H&R Race Lowers: Avg Low 2.75"F 2.25"R. Color is red (never seen anything other than).

Eibach Pro kits Lowers: Avg Low 1.4"F 1.2"R and are black.

Eibach Sportline's Lowers: Avg Low 1.6"F 1.6"R and are red.

Tein are either green are really dark green.

For the no-name brands, I don't know...
Check those numbers on the springs with H&R before complaining to the seller.

I would buy used springs as long as they are not cut.

I however would NOT buy used shocks.
