Default 95 Civic OEM Style Fog Light Question

Hey, I was reading the OEM instructions on how to install the fog lights in my 95 civic, but theres one thing i want to do differently than what the instructions tell you to do.

I want to make my fog lights independent of my headlights (in the instructions the way they tell you to wire it results in you having to have your headlights on for the fogs to turn on and when your high beams are on they turn off). This is a problem for me since my HIDs are my high beams and i want my HIDs and fogs to turn on together (i can chnage my HIDs to low beam but i dont want to)

I want to be able to turn my fogs on and off whenever i want whether my lights are on or not.

Could someone tell me what i should do differently in order to achieve this?

just wire the switch to directly control the relay instead of having the ligh control plug as the intermediary.

did your OEM style foglights come with its own switch? if so, you can wire it to the aux. fuse pin in the fuse box.

your kit should include a harness for the fuse box that plugs into the aux. fuses shown here

I forgot if it was 1 or 2 that gives power when ignition is at on position. (use a test light to confirm) From there, the switch will allow you to turn the lights on and off whenever you please as long as power is on.
