Default paint stripped 2000 SI wheels. Clear coat them?

i got a set of 2000 Si wheels, but they were painted a few times.

I stripped off all the paint today and they're almost all clean now.

Im wondering about how they come stock, are they clear coated or do they have a grey paint on them?

Mine have absolutely no scratches on them which is nice. Should i worry about coating them?

you can just clear coat them if you want.

I think the factory ones do have silver paint, if I'm not mistaken. But if they look good cleaned up and you just want to protect them, clear coat should do the trick.

my civic is black, I'd really like the rims to be grey not shiny metal, but for now im just going to finish cleaning off all the paint, and eventually get some new tires and then mount them.

The tires that are on them a 2 x195/60 15's and 2 x 195/50 15's. Im probly goin to sell those off on craigslist.

The stock size would be 195/55 15 right?

Today i installed some energy suspension motor mount inserts!! feels much better with them in. the Rear one was a bitch to install though, I thought id be able to get it out and back in pretty easily, but i made a mess of the heater lines. I got it out after some time but i couldnt get it back in. So i jack up the car, got under it, unbolted the motor mount bracket and easy pee'zee nice and easy after that.

I want to get a rear anti roll bar before i mount my SI wheels.

Also i got a energy suspension shift poly bushing, but havent installed it yet.

Oh and i need to replace my tranny too. It grinds embarrassingly into 3rd very often.

195/55/15 is stock for Integras, but if you're interested in performance, 205/50/15 is a better size... A little wider and a little stiffer in the sidewall.

duplicolor wheel coatings. They are the shit. Rattle can enamel paint with high gloss and metal flake. I am doing a set of rims I picked up today for free in either bronze or graphite. Here is an example of somebody who did theirs with the duplicolor system.

they also sell a duplicolor wheel coating clear coat to enhance the shine and protect.

Im really liken the bronze color on the s2000 in your thread.. I might try that one, way cheaper than getting them powder coated.
