I used to use Nokya Artic whites, and they weren't bad at all (except the whole less visibility factor)

i agree. or you could even go cheaper (but not better) and get those xenon hyper whites off of ebay for $20. i have them and they work pretty good. i put a set in my friends tacoma and everybody hates him now cuz his headlights are so fricken bright.

I'm using the top speed pro1 bulbs, i got them for free since my motor guy distributes for topspeed. I put them in for fun since they were free and i was REALLY surprised, they were white as hell with a TINY bit of blue tint...i thought they were even brighter than my old $80 japanese piaa H4's

when you mentioned upgrading your wiring harness .. what did you use and how much were they? I know you can buy a higher gauge wiring harness or something off suvlights.com or something like that for about uh .. $35 but it looks bulky and seems like it would clutter the engine bay. I'm only wondering cuz I have PIAAs myself and love the brightness and whiteness of it.

My experience, PIAA Super Plasma comes closest to HID "Color". Brightness, you're on your own

A friend of mine has some type of amp made for headlights on his 93 Lexus GS300.

The lights come on, then the amp kicks on 3 seconds later and his headlights get really bright.

Dunno what the amp is called.
