Cluster removal - '96 - how?
Can anyone give a few quick tips on how to remove the instrument cluster from a 1996 Civic? (Mine is an EX coupe.) Haven't been able to find this -- lots on the previous model.
Odometer and trip meter have quit. Speedo still working.
Thanks!
Steve.

Try searching here, or google. I know on a 5th gen like mine you have to remove (pry out) the hazard button to expose a hidden screw, the others are obvious... not sure on 6th gens though
You're right, it was pretty easy. Good idea, when pulling the surround trim, or bezel, off, to pull it straight out, and not up, working on the bottom only. No matter what's happening with the top of the trim. That way the male snap inserts on the bottom won't break off.
BTW, after treating the appropriate connectors with DeOxit, my non-working odometer started working again! Glad I hadn't invested in a replacement. Simultaneously, the always-on red SRS slight in the cluster stopped being always-on. Also good news.
Thanks for the answers.
