Default 4 door, removal of rear seat

simple question, how do i get the rear seat bottoms, and/or the side bolsters out of my 99 civic 4 door. I pulled the seat bottom and it came up except the center, and the side bolsters pulled off too but were hooked on the bottom. I’m trying to run amp/stereo wiring to the trunk and I’m a new Honda owner, always had old trucks.

if its the same as a 96-98, and i assume it is, then the bottom seat has a single bolt that can be removed from between the back rest and the bottom seat
its a pain to get to, but its only one bolt, folding down the seats part way allows more room to work with
its dead center and a 10mm or so sized bolt if i remember correctly

i havent ever tried the side bolsters, but try taking out the carpet in the trunk and take a look for some bolts from behind

Just take a peek at the DIY forum!!

Theres a DIY on the 96-00 Civic!! I followed it myself and it was exact and to the point! All the bolts and clips were exactly as stated!!

on the bolsters there's a hook that goes around a bolt at the bottom and i got the middle and upper hooks out by pulling up and out. i saw the bolt for the seat bottom but didn't think it would be for the seat... i'll try that later.

thanks

oh and i was just in that forum and i guess i didn't see that topic. i even did a quick search.
