This might sound like a dumb question, but after I press off the rear drum, how does it secure back in place, since its not held in there with bolts or screws. I understand that after I install the wheel its gonna be held on there, just wondering since I never took the rear drums off.

Thanks Lee. My ebrake is not grabbing my passenger side drum and also i hear a squeeking sound when I press and depress my brakes. It also seems to be coming from that wheel. What should I be looking for when I open it up? Thanks for the help.

 

check your wheel cylinder for leaks, the wear on the shoes and the condition of the liner. I would love to help more, but it has been ages since I fucked with drums :happysad: Since I work on Acura's all day and they never made a car with drums on it I don't ever work on them anymore thank god. Alas my knowledge on them has since declined.

 

what you have to do is clean and adjust. and check for the wheel cilynders leak.about the squeeking sound that's normal there's nothing you can do.unless you replace the brake shoes.
