Default How much oil 93 civic dx

How much oil is needed in the stock 1.5 motor and what oil thickness should I be using in a car with 200+k miles. I tried searching but oil+how didn't pull up any useful threads.

Thanks!

There is a sticker under your hood that lists info like this. If it's missing, check the manual. I'll give you a little hint though, if you keep adding oil and checking your dipstick, I bet you'll end up with the right amount....

I always just threw in 4 quarts, standard operating procedure for B & D series.

yup. 5w-30. I found that I stopped burning oil in the Integra when I started putting in 10w-40.

Always use the dipstick, with 200k on it who knows what kind of goop is in the pan or anywhere else for that matter.

Should be around 3.5 as that's what the 1.6L from that year uses. I'd use 5w30, what's recommended, unless you're burning a lot of oil - even then, I'd suggest an oil w/ seal conditioner first before going thicker.
