what is the weight diff. between the to engines with tranny's hooked up. and what is a good swap price for a b18, not type-r just gsr.

weight difference isnt much.


B18B range from 800-1500 direct changover

B16A range from 1200-1500 (cable) to 2500-2800 (hydraulic) direct changeover.

B18C1 swaps usually go for $3000-3300.

place near here (NC) sells b18b (ls) changeovers for 2200, b18c1 gsr's for 3600 not too many other places to find engines though...

Heres a place that someone on this forum showed me. You could buy the engine here and have it shipped to your local shop and have them install it if your shop cant beat the price.

BTW, I've never purchased anything from them I have no clue about their reliability and quickness with shipping...
