hey guys, need to ask about the radio security code again...

so lots o people suggested to go the dealer and ask them to look up the security code via the VIN #...

well when my female friend went get to get an oil change yesterday, I told them to ask the dealer about it... and they told her she's gotta bring in the radio, they dont do it that way...

so er.. was the dealer bsing her?

should I just take it to another dealer. heh.

 

You can bring the radio in too.

 

This happened to me a while back, I actually had to bring the radio to the dealer.

They don't look it up by VIN#, there's a sticker with a serial number ON TOP of the actual headunit, that's what they use to look it up.

 

hmm damn I send it off already.

and I emailed the guy about it, and he's totally telling me off about it. lol. what a jerk.

maybe he'll be nice and give me the serial # and i'll look it up for him.

and maybe the dealer will give me trouble cuz I dont have the actual player.

bah.

 

errr yeah they cant just give away security codes to anyone
a lot of times they charge you for the code as well

 

yeah I just found a picture I took with the serial # on it.

I'm going to try to ask on other forums if anyone can look it up for me..

if not I'll just call honda...

 

welp shot me a Email and ill have my buddy look it up free of charge ill need to know at least the make , model ,SN# on the deck would be nice he might be able to look it up off the VIN# like my accord but with out that SN# no promises
