Default Hatch CX

Hey Hatch CX--Can ya post those pics please? Thanks!

Inspyral--Cool idea. What kind og bolts did you use? Did you have to take the bumper off?

I may to the Jap thing and get some hinges and bolt themon the underside of the bumper opening and mount the plates there. That way when I get going fast, the plate will be pushed up into the bumper and not seen, but when I get puller over, the plate will be right there. Anything illegal about that??

Thanks for you responses!

Default SWEET!

Hey HatchCX,
Thats what I want. You can hardly tell theirs a screen there. How did you do it? I assume it was just black mesh.

Also, is the plate mounted to the screen? Or did you just shove it in there?

Thanks!

Default Black mesh?

I have a 95 Civic EX with Tsunami T2000 front lip.

So I just need to go to HD and get some black gutter mesh and stuff it in there?

Stock mouting brackets and bolts? Where are those?

Sorry for my ignorance. This is my 1st car and I'm still trying to figure things out.

You can pick up a sheet of diamond steal mesh at any welder shop. It looks just like the ish you pay $150 for. All you need is to make a template and cut it down with a heavy duty wire cutter or something similar. Then prime, paint, sand, paint, ect....clear coat....and vWA La

BTW ~ it will look MUCH MUCH better then the gutter mesh.

Also, you can use "re-enforcement" sheets. Its a similar mesh as the gutter gaurd but not as tranceparent.....looks much better too, AND it's aluminum so no rust...

Mesh from Home Depot... if I had a big mesh gap, I'd black zip tie it, but making sure to trim the excess tie... :dunno:

I haven't had my front license plate on for a really really long time. Just got some license plate plugs from Honda, and it's all good.
