Hey my cigerette lighter broke so i want to disconnected it and get a new one.. the only problem is i don't know how to disconnect it, can any one help?

 

what year car?

 

on my 6th gen, you just need to remove the wire harness off the back of it and then you can just take it out.

 

on the 5th gen, you remove the screw on either side of the center console and the 2 the screw into it at the top (vertically)

The console comes out top first and there is a little connector that just plugs into the lighter. Remove that and you're good.

r u sure the cig lighter plug is broken? u might want to check out the fuse for that one before doing so. my friend had the same problem and as it turned out... it was the fuse not the plug. unless if you see black burnt marks on the inside of the white stone lookalike.. u don't need to change it.
