engine swap help, please
I might be getting a 96 or 97 (not sure) Civic EX from a family friend later this summer.
I'm looking for max mileage--could I swap a D16Y5 into the EX without too much trouble?

It shouldn't be a big hassle, but the HX and VX models (VTEC-E) do have certain parts not found in the DX and EX models. Just make sure you have a complete swap when getting the motor. (including ECU). You may also need the HX converter and exhaust manifold for everything exhaust side to bolt up correctly.
