whats the deal, there are two types? I just bought some Sylvania silverstars and in had OSRAM on the packaging?

Quality looks alright, but the free NASCAR toy that came with them cheapened up the whole buying experience.

Have there been any probs running these lights? I've read from some people that they have experienced melting with these bulbs.

I haven't brought myself to getting new light bulbs on the civic just yet.

but on my accord, I had some Nokiya artic whites for lowbeams, and they were especially for $30 local.

there were these other lights I got for my highbeams at the same time. Can't remember the name brand, but they were somewhere between yellow and gold. and were bright as all hell. $25 for the set. I'll post up the name when I find the box.

not the houseing but the actual harness that the bulb is wired to... something about using higher wattage bulbs like Silverstars makes them crap out and melt after a while.

COO... how well do the sylvania silverstars do in the rain and fog for visability?? I cross the Golden Gate here in the bay at least twice a week and the fog by my house can get fairly thick at times.

My shiet is still in the packaging cause winter is coming up meaning heavy fog and some rain in my area... all I hear is that visibility in the rain and fog with White bulbs is crap. Are they really that bad.

GRRRRrr.... its like seeing your presents under the Christmas tree and knowing U can't open them till weeks later. lol
