Default 95 Civic Front End Annoying Squeak?

My car seems to have developed this annoying squeak from the front passanger wheel area when you turn left, right, whatever. Sounds almost like a rusty gate. Doesn't matter if the car is running or not the squeak is there when you turn the wheels. The squeak is also there if you put some pressure on the front end, ya know like bouncing it.

I've taken a couple of looks with and without the wheel off and I can't seem to see anything that would cause this with my novice eyes. Did some google searching, couldn't find much.

I just dropped 750 bucks 2 months ago on this when the control arm on the opposite side needed replacing, which caused horrible uneven wear to my newer tires.

Anyway,I'd like to avoid a trip to the shop again if I can. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

could possibly be the bushings in the control arm that are not properly lubed or are rubbing.

are they aftermarket polyurathane?..or replacement rubber bushings?

Not 100% sure, I picked the car up cheap about 9 months ago.

I took a second look, it looks like covering or whatever around the spring has chipped a little near the top part where it connects to the wheel well. Even still, would that causing the squeaking while turning?

Definetely not aftermarket. I don't know when they have been replaced last.

My car makes the same noise, I've been tryin to figure it out also. When I changed my axels there were the 2 joints u have to knock loose with a pickle fork. I'm convinced its the top one which there's no fitting to grease it and they say my ball joints are fine. I have a bad rack, but I think its right where it connects to the wheel. I dont think it has to do with my rack but its the metal piece with the small rubber boot around top. I'm just trying to explain the best I can I don't know correct terms for everything sorry.

Hmmm, yeah I'm not 100% what you are reffering to, but behind the wheel is all i can gather of where the noise is centralizing. Sucks, i have no mechanic friends so it's one of those things you gotta figure out.

Someone on here mentioned the shocks, after just listening more..I kinda doubt it because when I hit harder bumps the car reacts normally...it's when you are at slower speed you can hear the up and down squeeks at smaller bumps or rougher roads. Then the whole thing that it's the most noticeable when you are turning the wheel.

I tried looking at the bushings. Can't exactly tell if they are it, but from what I've read elsewhere it didn't mention much about squeaks when turning, just up and down type stuff.

Put the front on jackstands, have a friend turn the wheel for you and listen. Also, jack up on of the wheels to get a little shock movement in there. Best advice I could give. Good luck.

Had a friend of a friend take a look at it. I believe he said it was the ball joint at the lower end of the strut on that side. He ordered the parts and greased it for a temp fix and squeal went away for about 50 miles. lol. Cheap fix thankfully.
