Default suspension upgrades

hey guys, sooner or later, I plan on upgrading my suspension so I'm reading up on all these threads and stuff, just to see what I should get.

I know I am definately getting Koni Yellows for struts. Nothing can change my mind.

But I am torn on springs. everyone says ground control. But really, I just want a solid 2 inch drop all around. I realize I'll prolly never adjust my ride height, so I was wondering if its even worth it to buy the adjustable gc's when I can just get some 2 in. lowering springs. if springs are the best choice, what should I get Eibach, Neuspeeds??? and also, whats all this talk if the dudes having ride hiegh problems, like the front of their cars jacked up all high and stuff.

anyway thanks in advance

H/R Race or Neuspeed Race will give u the 2.25-2.5 drop all around. Mated with the Koni Yellows, you can set the perch on the highest setting to give you the 2 inch drop.

As for the ride height problems, they probably installed the springs incorrectly.

how is the ride quality of neuspeed race springs. Does it improve handling or is it a nice pillowy soft, near stock ride quality?

When you say the front is higher than the rear, thats would be the Eibachs, its could happen or it cant, I mean I have too many stories about them sagging or giving that infamous uneven drop.

So I would go with something higher quality such as Neuspeed or H&R.

But if you are intent on gettin the Koni Yellows, get the neuspeed editions case you can fine tune them, because you can fine tune the how low you can set the perch, I think its .25 but at max is 1 inch unlike the normal ones where they have 3 settings in front and 5 in the rear (I think I am wrong )

Ask people to clear that up?

I would go with H&R sports and Koni Yellows, just use the height adjustment feature with the Koni Yellows to get the 2 inches you want (I thin the H&R sports settled with Koni Yellows is 1.8 front and 1.5 rear)

Thats my choice hope that helps

Yes, the front has 3 settings, and the rear has 5 settings (for 92-95 as far as i know)

what about the KYB AGX shocks? cuz compared to the koni yellow, they are about $100 cheaper. anyone on han runs kyb agx? if so, what coilover is best matched with it? i am thinking about going into autocrossing.. so i am looking for a performance setup with daily ride comfort. any ideas? please enlighten me.. cuz buying the full coilover system is just to much.. ouch!

When in doubt, go with Eibach.

And I don't suggest AGX's with coilovers. They aren't as durable as the Konis.

The one thing that is nice with coilovers in general is corner weighting. I noticed a huge difference after I got mine done 3 weeks ago. I had all corners within a 1-2mm gap left to right before the corner weighting.

When I went to get my car corner weighted my car was off by 85lbs cross weight! That's a considerable amount.

With regular springs in order to corner weight you have to move weight around on the car OR add weight to corner (which is bad).

Where'd you have that done at? I would love to do that.
