error code on my civic. HELP!!!!

Default error code on my civic. HELP!!!!

my engine light flashes 9 time fast, then it does 2 long flashes followed by 2 short flashes. it pauses and does it all over again.

i cant figure out what code that is. its confusing me.

That would be a 9, and a 22.
9 CYP Sensor (Cylinder)
defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor
22 VTEC Oil Pressure Switch
defective circuit or unplugged / defective oil pressure switch

when its sensor based i always start by resetting the ECU to see if it will happen again, cuz usually it doesnt.

i think there is a real problem cause my car looses power and stutters alot...

think resetting the ecu will FIX it?

what do i do to fix the cyl pres? valve job? where should i take it? how much?

oil pres switch? eek, what do i do.. im screwed...

i need a damn b18 and my worries would be over eh?? =)

i can help you w/ 22,

take the ground wire from it and have it going directly to the battery ( - ) that would complete the circuit and it would make your vtec crossover, but the vops itself at honda is $55.

honda parts department and all their infinate knowledge told me that there is no such thing as a CYL Pressure Sensor and its really a crank position sensor... and to fix BOTH errors that i needed a new distributor...

wtf... is that right?

you dont need a fawking dist. your ecu wont let you know if that goes bad.

You just need a cps sensor not a dist. their brain dead
