All a turbo timer does is keep your car running for a short period of time after you turn the ignition on. Turbocharged cars require some idle time after you drive it for a period of time.

Stop reading Import Tuner for "Tech" articles.
A turbo timer lets the car run, allowing it to cool down.

There is a white wire that you could use coming from the ignition as well. I was just too lazy to strip another wire.

But what I did was I used a test light to find an empty 'fuse' location in the fuse box that ALWAYS had power even with the car off. There is one on the bottom row (for my car)
