I used Tamiya Clear orange paint #x-26 and I just dipped the bulbs in them. There was 7 bulbs in the cluster 2 type 74 and 5 type 24 (Sylvania fits best) and there are 2 in the climate control, type 74. For the clock, I went to Shucks and I got a lens repair kit with amber film and I just took apart the clock (really easy) and put the film in front of the clock. Looks way better in person. For the Cruise button and rear defrost button I took the buttons apart and used that same lens repair kit. I started doing this a while ago and never got to finish it and now that I have tons of people have done it so now i wanna change it to all green or something :P Anyway if you need a how to on taking apart the climate control let me know, that was the hardest part. It was a biatch.

Why not just roll yours back? Not any more illegal than buying a cluster with lower miles.

This info would be quite useful. I don't need it to change colors, I'd just like to replace the bulb because it won't light up anymore.

Alright here goes on taking apart the climate control.

1. Remove lower portion of console. The one with the cigarette lighter and pocket.

2. Remove radio-there are screws holding it in in the very back, mine has 3 others may have more if they're aftermarket. The screws are facing up.

3. After radio is removed there is one screw in the very back facing up and one screw near the front facing up. These are directly in the middle. Remove those first. Pull out fan button and temperature button with pliers.

4. If you look up under the climate control you'll see 3 screws on each side of it near the front. They're in awkward positions but you need to remove all three on each side before you pull the C/C out. After they're out you can push it from the back and it should just slide right out.

5. Once its out there is a faceplate sort of thing on the climate control. Its held on there by 2 tabs on the top, 2 on the bottom and 1 on each side. Use a flathead screwdriver and remove the faceplate. You'll see the bulbs right behind that. Theres only 2. Don't touch the bulbs with your hands wear gloves. When you're putting the bulbs back in reach underneath and push the bulb holder thing in so you don't push it out.

6. Assemble back together opposite from the instructions here

I think those amber lights would look great with an orange car.
