Default e-brake handle

anyone know how to take the e-brake handle off a 6th gen civic ?

i heard u have to just pull til it comes off, but i dont wanna break it accidently.

are you going to replace it with an aftermarkey handle?

just pull and wiggle and pull and keep pulling, and keep pullin and wiggling.

or grab a razor blade, slice along the length of it and take it off that way. although you'll never be able to put it back on, you'll have to buy a new cover.

it's that easy? on my accord, we had to cut around near the base

Mine wouldn't pull or twist off either. I had to tap it off with a hammer.

Mine was hard plastic(97 Civic). I cut it off with a Dremel. The one in my cousin's 91 Integra was softer and more rubberized. He parked out in the sun, and when we went to remove the stock handle, it pulled right off.
