Well.... If your looking into getting the highest model del sol witch is the "VTEC" model, your looking at ... ...

B16a3 motor Witch is "Duel over head cam"
160 HP
111 (ft-lb) Torque
Weight: 2490-2500
Redlines at 8200 RPM
1/4 mile anywhere from 15.4 to 15.7 (15.1 if you wanta believe motor week)

Its a nice little convertable at will car. You wouldnt regret getting a del sol. Well unless you need lots of space in your car then you will have problems. I bought my 95' black VTEC del sol over a 95' GSR myself. You dont see that many del sols on the road witch is a good thing. Also you can just buy a cheap s model or SI del sol and just do a GSR swap or whatever you prefer and then you will have alittle moster sol.

alright...
1. VTEC... not vtech. vtech is a phone manufacturer.

2. You can get as much horsepower as you want out of any car, as long as you have enough money to spend on it. im sure that there is a way to fit 2 turbo/nitroused supra motors into a ford festiva if you have enough cash, and dont mind looking like a moron.

3. Del Sols, like any car CAN be fast. You will get out of them what you put into them.
A Del Sol's benefits over a prelude are mainly just in size, weight, and (in my opinion) style. Drop a H22 prelude motor into a Del Sol, and it will hand a prelude its arse.

My advice to you would be to: 1. find a Del Sol VTEC (that would be the one with the DOHC VTEC motor in it, and run 10 lbs of boost through it. It will easily out run a prelude, and look better doing it, and 2. if/when you to to jail for so boisterously street racing, kick someone's arse as soon as you get there to avoid becoming someone's butt-boy.

Hope that helps

Heres my opinion...

Save your money, and READ READ READ.. You obviously dont know jack **** about cars (performance wise anyway)... So before you start spending (and ultimately probably wasting) your moeny, learn a thing or two about the del sol and the b16 etc etc

Straight pipe with a badass tip = Angry bees farting

Performance parts will fit just fine lol

Please oh please dont put a cheap ass kit on with blue headlights, altezza tails, and underglow neons!!!!

"but i think that last post was either a joke or one of the stupidiest things ive heard someone say this week"

LOLOL SPEracing...that was a pretty stupidie wasnt it :P
