Default 98 Civic EX

I am seriously considering going from the stock engine, to a Spoon Sports b18c w/5 speed tranny. I want to know what all I am going to need to get a long with this engine to get it to run properly.

You'll need the tranny, axles and intermediate shaft, shift linkage, ecu, mounts.

B18C3 isnt worth the money you are going to spend on it. I suggest building up a B18C1 to save yourself money and have an overall better power output.

From my friend who is going to buy it, all he remembered was b18c. He couldn't remember the final model number. I am going to be paying 1k for an engine/tranny combo. I just needed to know what else I would need to get prior to installation.

The spoon long block is a brand new 0 mile b18cR block. They are shipped direct to Spoon Sports where they are dissassembled, balanced and blueprinted. They check all the tolerances and clearances with higher standards than Honda does. The only spoon part on the block is the headgasket. Sure it costs ~$5500 but go to the dealership and ask how much they want for a new b18c5 engine. I'll tell you what, they will be asking about $5000 and it comes in pieces, not as an entire longblock. The spoon engine is not bad at all.

First of all, you will need some pretty serious bank. A spoon engine for $1,000.00? I don't think so. I am seriously thinking of getting a spoon long block myself. Does anyone know the cheapest place to get one in the states. I have seen several different prices on the web.
