knocking pistons while accelerating
My 2000 honda civic (55k miles) giving knocking sound while accelerating and going uphill.Changed fuel filter and done all other maintenace from day 1
Taken to local repair shop they replaced fuel filter and cleaned fuel injection system. but no luck

Does it sound like rustling leaves? I had the same problem with only accelerating or being in too high a gear and getting on the gas.
I found out my problem my timing was off and needed adjusting. Once that was adjusted noise went away. The shop said that was detonation.
