i know this may sound like a stupid question, but what engines are what codes? i hear a lot of people refering to the engines by their codes. my car is a 94 dx hatch and i believe it's a d15a engine right? also, isn't a stock 99-00 si engine a b16a? correct me if i'm wrong please. also, off hand if anyone knows a lot of the engine codes (b18, etc.)and what honda model they're from, could you inform me please. thanks

 

if you look under the head on the left side of the block where it meets the tranny, there is a code there...

there is an oil leak on that side of the engine, its apparently been that way for some time...its NASTY.

hmm, pics kinda too dark to see...but there were an awful lot of leaves and acorns in there...its a d15.
