question about turbo kit
i'm hearing all of these things about turbo kits. My dads got a 2000 civic ex vtec. I wanted buy a turbo kit but i wanted to know what it does first. How much faster does it make it and is it worth all of the money. i just want my car to be faster, any advice what to look into? " Not lookin to buy anything to expensive not bad quality sturff either.
Uhh Civic forum is not the same as Accord forum.
What price range are you talking when you say "not too expensive" because when going turbo there is a lot more to it than just slapping on a snail and going...at least if you want the engine to last and still be fun to romp on here and there.

There are some kits you can buy (Edelbrock makes a really nice one), but I personally recommend learning how they work and piecing one together yourself. Its cheaper, rewarding and a lot more satisfying. Doing it right will cost a good chunk of change, usually between 2000-4000 depending on what you want. I've seen some people piece together kits using used and/or old parts and spending around $900. I personally like getting things done right, so I wouldn't do that.
