Default Car won't start.please help

Hey.I just got a '99 civic Si. I think my battery was bad because it would make this "click click click" sound every time i try to start it up. So me and my friend tried to jump it.I think we placed the wrong terminals to the battery in the camry that was gonna jump us because the positive cover was on the right.and i checked images of the camry online and im pretty sure it was on the left.Either way we tried we didnt get power to my battery n i noticed a lil spark n smoke when we hooked it up to my car. What is the worse that can happen to your car when you mix up the jumper cables?
We tried to jump it again with my friends accord.nothin happend. but we swapped batteries and with my battery and his car it made that clickin sound and tried to start up but with his battery in my car nothin happened. Do you think the main fuses were burned? Could the starter, distributer or alternator could be messed up because of the wrong wiring? Please help

Mixing up the cables can melt the jump cables and the batterers thats about it. Sounds like you have a bad battery or you have a lot of resistance in your battery cables. Do you have a lot of the green shit on your positive terminal? An alternator only charges the battery it can cause a no start but normally your battery light will come on the night before if your alternator is bad. If you blew your main fuse you would have no power in the car at all.

Did you already check the fuse for the alarm?
