Misfiring
I know of cases where it was common for the external coil on V6 Accords to act up intermittently, causing the tach. to jump around momentarily as it missed. I've read of cases where that was believed to be happening on an individual coil pack (w/out tach jump of course), but not on a Honda.
For individual coil packs, or coil over plug, I can only agree with Joe's suggestion of swapping, as testing to see if they meet specs is... unrealistic to my knowledge.
edit: I stand corrected, you can test resistance on them (at least some) similar to the more common single coil setups. As long as you have the correct service manual anyway.
Regardless, I'd still try the swap method first if you don't have the resistance specs handy.
