after you get a swap, do you have to get a smog test?

also, will a b16 in a hatch pass smog? I live in Cali

 

if the b16 is the same year or higher that of ur car. and u will have to go to a ref station to get a bar sticker for ur swap. i did, forgot where tho, it was in san jo. my si is a 93 and my b16a3 was a 94, as long i had all the smog stuff on there, it was all gravy. then u can take to smog station and get smog without the hassle cuz u have the bar sticker.

its a station where they take a closer look at ur smog stuff. once ur swap is consider legal, they will print u a sticker called a bar sticker, stands for beareu of automotive repair.
