My ordeal
So, many of you know, I have two sols. The second was a salvage title, and WAS an auto. I picked it up for 2000, and it ran great and was fully redone. Si, yaddy yadda. So the tranny side mount was saggy, I put in lowering springs, and the new week hit a huge bump in the road, the tranny smacked it, and buh bye auto tranny! So, I did an auto to manual conversion on it. Not tough. Then the good old d15 in my 93 S decided to go... Well, I love that car with a passion, so I pulled the d16z6 out of the green Si. The blue S was peachy again, but I didn't have anything to throw in the green one. So, I got a d16 from a buddy, and it turned out he hosed me... Some buddy... Missing a ton of sensors, timing belt cover, dist, wires, engine harness, etc. So, I finally found a totalled 95 civic EX that a guy was parting out. So, I drive half way to Bump F@#$ Egypt, and pull the motor, ecu, a hub, and the steelies for about 300. Cold as hell, and I dragged my best friend out there to help. So, after having my junkyard wonder sitting engineless for about 3 months, I finally have the engine in, wired up, and bolted together. JUST STARTED for the first time! I'm friggin giddy! I still have to throw the interior back together, fix the brakes, etc, BUT SHE RUNS!!! SO HAPPY! WOOT!
Just had to get that out of me! :fawk:
