Default 93 EG Lowering springs

Question...

I am looking to get another pair of lowering springs for my 93 EG. Right now I have the crappy $100 coil-overs on it that I bought like 6 years ago when I was in school. I do have new Tokico blues so the shocks are good, its just the springs are WAY too harsh.

Will lowering springs for a 96-00 civic work for me? I know when I bought the coil-overs they were for 92-00 civics, but looking for decent springs they all seem to be made for either 92-95, or 96-00, not 92-00.

I saw a couple of ads on criagslist and they are for 96-00 civics. Will these work for me?

Also, does anyone have the Tein S-tech springs they are selling on ebay? What do you think of them?

Thanks!

I have the green Nuespeed springs on my coupe. They ride extremely good. There cheap and get the job done. The 96+ will work only thing if I remember correctly the ride height will be different.

Cool, yeah I was thinking the same thing... I know the suspension is different from having to buy a camber kit, the 96-00 civic camber kit looks way different than mine. I'm gonna look for 92-95 springs and I might get the Tein ones I found on Ebay. Its not a DD but I'd like it to ride a little better.

I am def leaning towards the Tein-Stechs, but they are only supposed to lower it like 1.7 and 1.8 in? Can u confirm this?

I am looking for comfort more than anything, with no more than a 2" drop.
Without considering different spring rates and such, is there a spring that you guys have experienced in a 92-95 civic that will give a lowered ride, but will not be overly harsh as the generic coil-overs I have now.

What about the generic, blue springs on ebay? Any luck with these?

I am so tired of the smashing over every little bump I am about to put my stock suspension back on and forget about keeping it lowered lol! PA Roads SUCK!!!

S-techs FTL. had em, hated em. They are mushy and soft. I would rather HnR springs or Eibach Sportlines.

if u want you car slammed...go with the eibach or skunk 2s. i personally like the tein cuz i like the ride on them and they look good with that 1.7 drop. they close the gap between the tire and fender. i think it looks real clean. just dont go with generic springs or coilovers...bad idea.
