Simple question,

Should the 6th gen civics beep when you leave the lights on and take the key out of the ignition? I swear mine used to but it doesn't anymore and I leave the lights on all the time.

 

check to see if your dome light comes on if it doesnt then check if the connector from your main harness under your carpet has come off.

 

Dome light does come on when taking keys out of the ignition, just no sound when I leave the lights on and take keys out. So there should be an alarm then when I leave my lights on? If so it should be an easy fix when I take the car in to get it serviced.

 

I own a 99 civic and it makes a really annoying buzzing noise when i leave my lights on and take the keys out.
