i just bought a vtec light for my 95 civic. ive got the black trim piece out, the gauge cluster out and the vtec indicator light installed. now my problem is i cant find the necessary wires to tap into so when teh vtec comes on, the light will come on with it when installed. please help me out. im stuck right now and i need to get ym dash back together, its a pain driving at nite with all the dash lights in your face. thansk guys

 

I'm blanking if it's pin A4 or D6 on the ecu... I'll try to find it later today...

 

I know there's a how-to on this... It's either on ClubSi or on jdmfan, not sure.

 

Y do you need a vtec light? sounds stupid

 

never done it, but it's a cheap mod, somethin to do on a lazy day if you're bored and wanna work on your car.

 

What is it for...to let you know when you are locked in vtec?

can somebody explain to me what a v-tec light is, and does it come stock on the cars the come with v-tec

 

a vtec light is any form of light source (LED, neon, etc) that is wired to the ECU so that when vtec is engaged, the light turns on.. it really has no benefits to it, just a cool mod to do if you're bored or something.. however, if it was me, i would just run a wire into the engine bay and tap the actual vtec solonoid wire.. i wouldnt wanna ƒuck up any of my ECU connections.

and no, it doesnt come stock on any cars that have vtec..
