how can i tell what year a motor is?

Default how can i tell what year a motor is?

some guy came into my work today and like said he can find me a motor and tranny out a 99 si for my CX. he said he'll install it too for lil over a grand

did he specify that a little over a grand wasn't just for installation? It's not what you say, it's how you say it. Just a thought. Other than that, I dunno.

swap labor shouldnt cost that much...
and i think theres a vin number somewhere on the block...
u could probably run a carfax on it or something..
<correct me if im wrong guys>

As for the block, there should be a VIN stamped on it...

when getting a swap, how do you find out how many miles are on the motor??? and how do you know if they are giving you the same tranny that went with that motor??

same vin on the block as on the tranny.....
