I've got a 93 civic cx beater that i bought for $200. I think the oil pump is bad, my pressure light came on and now the engine doesn't sound so happy anymore, anybody had the same problem? how much was the pump? don't want to put too much into it, only paid $200 for car thanks in advance for any help

 

If your oil pump is shot and the engine doesn't sound "so happy anymore", chances are that you ruined the engine beyond minor repair.
You are looking at much more than the cost of an oil pump. You need to correct all the damage that was done when the engine had no oil. At
the very least you will need to tear the motor apart and replace all of the bearings. Hopefully you didn't score the crankshaft or else you would need a new crank. It will be much more than $200. Even if you can do all the work yourself, you are still looking at over $200 just for parts.

 

Take that $200 car and turn it into a $700 car by plopping a d16z6 under the hood :grinpimp:
