Default B18B plug & play my aassssssssssss..

I installed a 94 B18B into my 94 civic ex coupe this past weekend..

Most of the swap was self-explanatory. Although, you do come across complications I was not expecting. There are 3 wire harnesses on both sides of the of the engine bay near the firewall. Two on each side plugged in but the other one had to be spliced and modified to the integra harness. Leaving the like 2 extra wires on both sides. This may be only because of vtec and possibly AC but I’m not sure. The other thing being you need to use the civic mounts and the integra brackets for the 2 front lower mounts. And the last issue that I ran into was the exhaust. The civic exhaust pipe had a different flange and had a smaller diameter than the integra catalytic converter. The integra exhaust pipe was too short after the catalytic converter. You could cut the integra exhaust pipe, add on an extension, and get an integra muffler but I decided to get a custom 2.5” exhaust bent for $135.00.

All in all, the swap was very self-explanatory, just reversing the pulling of the stock motor. Although, I did find it easier to drop the motor from under the car instead of pulling the motor and doing the same when installing it. I did this with a large come-along and a floor jack.

My next modification will be the swapping out the integra dash and all seats into my civic. And I have a zex kit that should be here any day.

Pix will soon be posted.

pulled 2 motors, 1 from integra and 1 from civic and installing the b18b into my civic took about 12-14 hours total, spread over 3 days. First time doing a swap for both me and a buddy.

Good job man! Your info is much appreciated. I plan on doing the same sort of swap on the same ride, as well. Either B18B or a B20B. Post pics soon!

Are you the same guy that bought the wrecked integra from your neighbor so cheap?
