Remote start anyone?
remote starters are a big  to me.. i got one in my car, airon's car and a few other friends. the first gear thing is quite simple. get a magnetic switch, mount one side on the shifter, and the other to a backbrace. drill the back brace into the floor of the car and wire it directly to the remote starter (the one that says: 'ground')
hooking it straight to the starter is fine as long as it's going through a relay, but you can find the wire right under the steering column, so what's the point? if you're thinking about hooking it up without all the other stuff, then think about this: what stops the cranking, what powers the ignition, what about the duration? that's why the alarm is such a necessity..
