I bought the car 2 years ago, I messed with the seats on and off for about a year, whenever I felt like working on them, and most of the body work was wrapped up within the past couple of weeks.

does the interior stink like spray paint from the carpet?

No paint smell at all, the carpet was very well aired out before going back into the car.
