Fix Sean's Car, It has the Clickity Clickitys!! OH NOES!

OK, Please DO NOT try this at home. In an attempt to find the clickity clickity problem on sean's beater, we had an interesting night. Obviously the first thought was CV Shafts, which was the problem, but please DO NOT attempt to fix your car like this, for you might die!

Step 1: Find the problem, ours was this!

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1...TheProblem.jpg

So you would think that you just need to replace the CV Shaft, no big deal.. Until the bolts are stuck in the lower control arm coz they don't like you & you live in ohio with horrid weather & the douche bag that had the car before you never heard of the word maintinence. So we find our selves with a problem such as this.. We struggled with the control arm in a vice & heating tools & hammers & the sawzall..

Yet we used all the blades & they ended up looking like this:

Well you see, Tony's solution for this problem is, "hey, i just bought that plasma cutter!! :chuckles: "

So we go to town for a minute:

Well we got it all outa there & everything is ready to be fixed. The real problem is that this car needs to be driven tomarrow & it's mid night.. So here comes the creativity!!!

I pulled out an old MILDLY used piston, with an idea in the back of the head!

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1...UsedPiston.jpg

As we fliped it over for a size measuring, we discovered that they had a secret compartment for extra hidden control arm busings in there!!!

So we poped it out & put it to use! Thanks Wiseco!!!

Now sean won't miss any class when he needs to go to school tomarrow!! ;)

Hope everyone enjoyed the sweet story that i had ... but i've got to go to bed.. i've got a long day of work in the morning..

BTW.. once again, please don't do this unless you are desperate, & even then, think twice & plan to replace it with the correct parts ASAP!!

Wrist pin? What's the compression ratio on that LCA? uh... :nervous: :eek5: :ugh:

I wanna come up with something witty, but that degree of [uh] engineering is way more creative... I got nothing! :hsdunno:

I once used a folded-up empty Benson & Hedges box to keep tension between the valve cover and alternator.

Edit: On my 67 Camaro

:o

Tony ftw!

Very well done on that :goodjob:

Safety first of course, but if it was me I might leave it as-is until it started making noise again :oh:

Tony ftw!

Reminds me of the classic wad of duct tape shoved underneath the wiper stalk to keep the wipers from running non-stop.

i'm not 100% sure but i'll bet that home made bushing is stronger than all the others on the car!

That & it's always fun to be different i guess.. i mean who else has wiseco bushings! LOL :D

I should enter in Nascar! My left turns > all!

Better yet, I'll ask Eric if he wants to start a YSU Parking Garage race series...The Evo guys did it...:driving: They didn't know I was in my car...
