Default cv axle and tire wear

I had my right cv axle replaced last Feb with a new aftermarket one. It's shot already. The inner boot is torn up, I'm getting clunking noises, etc. Fortunately, it's under warranty. About the same time I got the clunking noises, I noticed this erratic pull to the left. When I say erratic, I mean it occassionally pulled left; not the constant pull you get due to alignment problems. The right front tire is wearing on the inside and the left front is wearing on the outside (or maybe reverse, I need to look again). Question is, can a worn cv axle cause the pulling and the uneven wear? I know the wear started recently.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

no a CV won't do that. I would say check your inner/outer tie rod ends for the erratic pull, when mine started going it would drive normal most of the time then sorta jerk to a side every once in a while, and get your alignment checked out as far as the tire wear.
