I'm on ur trak breakin mah car!!!
werd, that's how we roll. when Tony and I hit VTAK shit's bound to drop whether it's axles or the ladies panties
yeah, it's confusing I don't think we'll ever figure out exactly what happened

I would say that you should have had coolant all over the engine bay. The radiator cap is supposed to vent past 15 PSI, and either your overflow bottle should have blown up, or the coolant system should have blown its top. If it couldn't vent fast enough, then you pushed a hell of a lot of air in there fast, and the only way I think that could have happened is if you lifted your head by stretching the head bolts. If you did, that might also explain why the turbo stabilizer bracket is broken in half.
But that could have happened from the wheel hop, though. Wheel hop is a bitch. u need awd.

a little update. over the past few months I've fixed most of it. new HG is in old one looked fine. no coolant in oil or oil in coolant. took the axle back to autozone.
az: what's wrong with it?
me: this(shows twisted off end)
az: wow, hope that doesn't happen again
me: gosh me neither :hsugh:
the weird thing is the motor mounts are ok. the one I thought was messed up isn't. and when I put them back on the motor seems lined back up right. :dunno: the cushion mounts are torn all to hell so I'm going to replace then with some billet torque mounts. but I plan to make those :rick:
radiator carnage

please disregard the dirty carpet, I'm pretty sure that's just cat food

you need to learn to pre-load the clutch before you launch there slappy nuts, youll have less problems with wheel hop and axle snappage. also, check your bushings that go to your lower control arm. they are the ones right behind the rack and pinion with three bolts holding it down and a stud going through it from the control arm.

yeah. ive never seen that before. i understand why it happened, i just cant believe that it did happen. i wonder if that is a side effect of an ebay rad. over a fluidyne, or something really expensive. probably a lower grade aluminum with different properties
yeah, the inserts are a lil ghetto. they work great while they last. the mounts end up tearing themselves to pieces. there is a company on ebay that sells life time urethane mounts for like 130 bux. from what i can tell, they look exactly like innovative steel mounts and use a hard compound urethane. check them out if your on a budget, ive been considering picking up a set.
and the torque mounts do help! i wouldnt buy billet ones, maybe just the inserts with window weld. or just fill them. having the torque mounts isnt going to hurt, only help

hmm there's a guy selling hasport(?) knock offs for 100 on ebay. I might try those. Lee are you sure you're not thinking of the torque damper? I'm talking about this

no way in hell I'm paying 100 for a couple of blocks of aluminum that I could mill out in an hour. I'm just going over to a friends shop to whip them out.
