I would like my wheels to continue to look nice for a long time, but ultimately, all I really care about is the weight. (who needs pretty wheels on a beat-up car like mine.:exnbp: ) Hopefully getting them clearcoated will protect them for a while.

I have had the konig imagines in the past and now have the konig absolutes in graphite and are perfectly fine, never had any probs with them. would recomend them to anyone.

I look at it this way. If the finnish goes bad just spray paint and clear coat them. These wheels cost what $399 shipped? I got mine when they came out for $365 shipped (heliums). I will say that the finnish isn't all that great but it doesn't look bad. I would buy another set if i needed to. So far i think it's a pretty good wheel.
