Default power steering

i went and looked at this car 99 civic ex with a gsr swap, the engine looked and felt legit and all but there where like loose body panels and NO POWER STEERING! i guess when they did the swap they didnt put it in.the guy bought it from a dealer and says hes got the papers to show for the swap. i dont know if i even care to get hat far. but shit foo thats hard to park! so i was jw how hard is it to install power steering. i dont even know if this car is worth it but it could be a good deal depending on what kinda work it needs.

since it is a 99 EX it already has a power rack..so you would just need the lines pump and proper p/s bracket.

As long as the pullies line up it will work with that engine.

The way that engine should be mounted in that car they should unless someone didn't know what they were doing.

Are you sure you can't get used to no PS? Make sure the tires have the correct pressure. If so, a couple extra lbs. won't hurt the front tires and can help reduce the effort a bit.

PASS

Why don't you find a car that runs properly to start with?

Loose body panels, check engine lights, and the owner BSing you about getting it from a dealer would be big warning signs for me. Dealerships won't sell crap like this to a customer because they have to warranty the car by law for 30 days. Dealerships don't want to fix swapped cars with loose body panels, they get sent to junkyards instead. So if the guy got it from a dealer, he didn't buy it from them, and he's trying to make a quick buck off of someone who doesn't know anything about Hondas.

PASS PASS PASS

Next, he'll remove the Check Engine Light bulb and tell you he fixed it.
