Hi everyone, i just recently purchased a 95 civic dx. I was recently lookin for after market performance parts and theres alot of eg, eg6, etc. WHat does all this mean?? Also, what do i have?? THanks

Many strange codes you see that are combination of letters and numbers usually refer to engine and chassis codes. Check out the stickies at the top of the board to get your basic info and as well as learning how to find info that's most likely been answered before.

I think the code for your car is EJ8? I'm not really too familiar with the chassis code for the coupes. The chassis code is in the VIN about 3 letters from the first.

if its a dx coupe its a ej1 and if its a dx hatch its a eg6

DX hatches are not EG6's. The hatchback SiR 92-95 is an EG6.
