signals don't turn off!?
i have a 96 DX hatchback and i've been having this problem for over a month now. when i turn and use the signals they don't turn off and keep on blinking, i have to manually click it off. its really annoying. the only reason i can think of that would be causing this problem is a bad key or something with the ignition..?? does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix this? PLEASE HELP!
thanks. |
Did you happen to install a new steering wheel or anything? If you did, I might be able to help...

Your switch might be broken. It's the switch that controls the headlights, signals, wipers, etc...

no, i did not install a new steering wheel.
where is this switch located and how would i fix it? could it be possible i need new spark plugs and wires or something??? thanks. |

I think you need some: http://www.eatel.net/~jeremyj/hlfluid.jpg  I just had to use it.. haha! Most likely a mechanism within the turn signal arm has busted. You may have to replace the arm because they usually don't sell individual parts for things like that. Good luck man. |
its on your steering assembly.. not wiring

There are little metal dowell looking things that flip the turn signals off automatically when you turn your wheel...maybe they're messed up...
