hi, i am going to buy hid off a lexus car to do a retrofit. When I get it i'm going to need to test the ballasts and bulbs out to see if they work. Do I just connect the ground and power wire of the ballast directly to the battery? I won't blow anything right? thanks for any help.

 

u need to connect it to the car wiring harness.. i not sure if u can do it directly to the battery, if u can, make sure u have a fuse in between so it doesn't blow!

 

i have 5 pairs of ballst of an is 300 i just hook it up directly to the battery to test them but make sure the polarity is right and dont look at the bulb u might blind ur self
