Idle surge, I've tried a bunch of things...
I have an idle surge. I have no CELs. I cleaned the IACV and the FITV. I tried the FITV fix by threading in the plunger. So today I cut out some gasket material and sandwiched it in between the FITV and bypassed the coolant lines. I still have a surge.
Do I need to put nippes on the coolant lines that I bypassed? I figured I shouldn't have to. I pull 25hg vacuum at idle so I doubt it's a leak. I'm totally stumped and the shit is really annoying. Any ideas?

take of your intake put your finger over the tps and see if it stops the idle surge if it does thats your problem. thats only if its surging while the car is started. now if its surging when u push the gas pedel down could have water in the gas..

I don't think I have a vacuum leak anywhere, it really sounds like a FITV problem.
But, putting a layer of that gasket material shit in between the fitv and throttle body and mounting it technically would be the same as a FITV delete, am I right?

Ok, I'll try to cover everything.
It doesn't really do it when it's cold, it doesn't do it when it's hot untill after you move the car. It could idle for ever but as soon as you go it will do it. Maybe even hitting the gas at idle, I just thought about that... If I put it in reverse and back up it'll sit at like 1000, go down to 800 or so sit for about 15 seconds then start doing it... So could it be the TPS? What should the voltage or % be at idle?
If something would throw a damn CEL it'd be a lot easier.
