Default foggy windows on a Del Sol with no a/c - anyone else?

Anyone else had a problem with the windshield, inner triangles, and both side windows (all glass, basically) getting really fogged up in damp/rainy weather? I cleaned all surfaces really well, still happened. Unsure what the next step is...

RainX makes anti-fog stuff that is supposed to keep the windows from fogging up.

that works to an extent...happened in my hatch until i got a/c...you drive w/ your windows up when its raining, and it gets hot and it builds up moisture and gets stuck on the glass...deal w/ it or get a/c thats all.

Default RainX

I bought the RainX product today, for like $1.50. I applied it to all 6 windows, but it's dry today here... when it rains I'll report the results. Adding A/C isn't feasibly - the kit is like $800, adds pulley drag to the engine, adds like 45 lbs of weight, when that money could be spent on a) better rims b) part way to a turbo kit c) carbon fiber hood + completely reupholstered interior d) full exhaust e) body kit...etc... I'll stick with $1.50 rainX.

RainX smelled EXACTLY like rubbing alcohol. I have a suspicion that it's just alcohol mixed with a glass-bonding compound, so that the alcohol sticks to the tiny tiny imperfections in the glass surface, and so the moisture can't adhere to anything and just floats around the cabin. A few good coats should cause 100% clearness, if that's the case.

Out of curiosity, do you have recirulate on or off? If you have fresh air coming in and a mix of heat then you should have less fogging.

But if it's raining out, it's bringing in damp air, and evaporating it onto the windows where it condenses... I always put mine back on recirculate right before I park, and it traps it in whatever state it's in, normally not fogging...

Anyway, I'm selling 2 A/C setups if anyone is interested. Complete. 200 for the whole shootin match.

since we're on the topic (kinda), i was wondering what is wrong with my air system in my car. I don' t have a/c but my fans don't work... i'm thinking the wiring connecting the fans to the dash controls got disconnected during the install of my deck... the fans used to work back when i first got it but stopped alluva sudden and i was too lazy to check up on it... do i need to remove my whole center panel and check it out?? and if so, what wires should i be looking for?

i get a lot of rain (a LOT).

i have no a/c, and the only thing i ever need to do is put the back window down a sliver to let air circulate.

thats doesnt work for the rest of you?
